Mom's Plant

This is a plant that we named for (Rob's) mom.  A plant that she rescued, never repotted, rarely watered or fed, knocked to the floor numerous times by the cats, and bloomed nearly continuously for over a year in a dimly lit north window.  We had to keep it and name it.  It has lovely light blue blooms shaded darker purple.

A Hardy Little Plant

I purchased this cutie a couple of years ago. It did well until it got a leaf disease and almost died. One little piece of green leaf grew back and the plant recovererd and bloomed a few months later. I do not mist them in the evening any more. This plant has stayed small and manageable which I like. Would recommend.

Loaded with blooms!

I bought this pretty little girl about three months ago. Potted her up, and she seemed to settle in faster than the miniature violets that I potted at the same time. I didn't notice how much it had grown until -- suddenly -- two 6-to-8" stalks full of gorgeous blooms have shot up, and several more are in diferent stages of unfurling. Good! That means that it will be in bloom for a long, long time! The color is more lavendar/blue-violet than shown here (mine isn't at all pink) with velvety red-violet throats on the bottom petals. Love her!

Amazing

This plant by far has been my favorite streptocarpus to grow. It really is indestructible. I ordered this plant as a gift and forgot to take it out of the water bucket where I was watering it over the weekend while on vacation. It sat for 72 hours in large bowl filled with water and it was sitting out of the lights. I for sure thought I killed it off. When I came home the plant had grown significantly and had pushed out multiple bloom stalks in just 3 days. I was floored with the resiliency of this plant even after drowning it!! If there were more stars I would give it for this one! The flowers, foliage, annd growth pattern are amazing and I don’t have enough good things to say about this strep. Thank you Violet Barn!

It is Mom's plant

I love this plant and the story behind it. She is big and beautiful. No full flowers yet, but a few buds about ready to open. The size of this plant is big and she is bold, going to be a real beauty when she matures.

I fell in love with the name and story of this plant and knew I had to have one for my apartment. I’ve had her for a little over a month now and she looks like she’s just about to bloom!!!! Very excited with this wonderful little plant!

Oldie but Goodie

I bought this plant in 2013 and five years later, it's still growing strong!

What's not to love?

Good size blooms that spread out for a good show with a slight color change after being open for 2 or so days. After 6 months it's not growing huge but has never been without blooms. Great starter plant.
