Great coloration

Received a healthy plant that bloomed within the week. The coloration is just as striking as in the pictures and the bloom holds well and doesn't droop.

Very unusual

The swirls, or fantasy colors on this flower are very unusual and eye catching. This is a very fun strep!

no celebration from Party Boy

I ordered Party Boy and Sixth Scents in March. They looked healthy. As of mid-July, Party Boy has had no blooms and the leaves are covered in Powdery Mildew. I have also had the same experience with Sixth Scents, not a single flower or flower bud. I have been growing streps for 40 years and never saw Powdery Mildew on the leaves before

Bristol's Party Boy

My Party Boy is beginning his third year of silver dollar-sized blossoms, which stand about 8-9 inches tall, above glossy long leaves. He has been a valued member of my Strep family, along with 20 varied brothers and sisters. Every plant has given me joy over the past 5 years. My plants have always arrived in excellent condition, and each has thrived to create a fantasy garden in my sunroom. I look forward to each March, when the first plant sends up a flower stalk; by May, there is a riot of color! Easy to care for. I have learned to leave my ceiling fan on all summer, to avoid fungus on the leaves, as my plants are relatively close together. I water only the soil, thoroughly, once a week, and groom the foliage at the same time- both leaves and fading blooms. Plants need less frequent watering when also placed in violet pots, which maintain moisture better than just watering the soil alone. I cannot resist new babies, so here I am, adding a few more!!!! The Violet Barn is extraordinary when it comes to buying plants on line- my 'go to' site!
