Worth getting for the foliage alone!

I got this plant three months ago, and it has grown very well. It's taken a bit of a break to focus on growing foliage, but it looks like more buds are already coming up. The blooms are just lovely, but I actually find myself admiring the foliage more! Gorgeously rich and dark, with beautiful bright red backs, it's very flat and well-behaved... Even when it isn't blooming, this is a lovely plant.
Constant Bloomer

I received this violet in June and it has been blooming since. I love the watermelon pink blooms.
Beautiful!

I can’t wait for this to bloom, very pretty plant! I’m addicted to these beautiful blooms!
Intense!

The flowers and foliage are so perfect together. Intense coral and dark foliage is very complimentary and always gets compliments. Mandan Dandy is an easy grower and ready bloomer. You can't ask for more!
Excellent bloomer

Mandan dandy is a gorgeous violet and a must have. the foliage alone is stunning then add the blooms-all I can say is wow. Violet Barn has the best!!!
Beathtaking!

I'm shocked I am writing the first review because it is clearly one of the favorites of my collection. Mine is much more mauve and less neon than the picture. It is stunning and had almost 20 blooms the first time it bloomed. I love this plant!
An All-Time Favorite: Pretty, Easy, and Super Hearty!

I was so surprised that Mandan Dandy had no reviews as it's an absolutely wonderful cultivar. I purchased it about 10 years ago from the Violet Barn when it was listed as "Salmon Ella" (by mistake and later corrected) simply because I liked the name. It tremendously hearty, a true survivor. Mandan Dandy has been one of 15 AVs that I own that have survived all types of neglect (not re-potted for YEARS, withered down to a crown of just four leaves, and no fertilizer for gobs of time)--as well as too much love (too heavy soil and over-fertilization and watering). It has rebounded every single time, included from repeated I've crownings (at least three of them). Heartiness aside, Mandan Dandy is a beautiful and low-maintenance. It now lives in a self-watering pot, and the leaves grow symmetrically and it blooms heavily just sitting natural sunlight. The flowers are a gorgeous coral, for me, a bit paler than the photos, but a true coral. I can't say enough positive things about this AV.
