Plum perfection!
I received this Violet about a month ago. It is already blooming! The color is stunning and a perfect plum color. It is my new favorite. I recommend this variety.

Lovely, more "plum" than deep purple
Good growing plant, spectacular blooms, but for me, was more plum/reddish than pictured.
Didn’t do well
This plant died. . It was very tiny and didn’t survive. I was hoping for a beautiful plant. My plant was the youngest I’ve ever received from VB. Very disappointed.

Tough, beautiful, and well behaved
Plum Pudding gets my award for Best Overall. After a very difficult year where I had to leave my plants in someone else's care, Plum Pudding made it through with flying colors, still blooming in spite of it all. The flowers are beautiful, vibrant plum purple, and the plants themselves have a very tidy habit. A+
Strong Plant, Easy To Grow
I have had this Lyons Plum Pudding several years now. It has grown well and survived even if I forgot to water it a time or two. The flowers are a beautiful dark purple against dark green leaves. I have truly enjoyed this plant and the great service I get by the Violet Barn.
Just GORGEOUS
This violet is GORGEOUS! A deep velvet purple with leaves the perfect shade of green to compliment the blooms. Veins in the leaves have a bit of a purple tint to them. Very hardly plant - even when I have not been as attentive as I should have been. If you love purple you will love this violet. If you aren't a purple lover you will be after seeing these blooms!

I ordered 2 of these and just received them. They are both very healthy and had no broken leaves. They are packed so well, it would be hard for them to be damaged. There are no flowers yet, but it won’t be long until it blooms. I highly recommend The Violet Barn and will buy from them again. The only thing that would make them better, is if they could process and ship the plants and supplies quicker. Thankyou Violet Barn for raising healty plants and for really caring about your customers.
Plum Pudding
In spite of a very rough trip here (the box was damaged) and the biggest bloom on it was broken, this is a beautiful plant. The color is even prettier than the picture shows! This is going to be a favorite I am sure. Several of the other plants had broken leaves too, but still very happy with the plants.
Lovely plant
Very attractive violet. Very large blooms atop upright stems that stand above nicely shaped medium green foliage. Quite delicate in appearance yet handsome with its royal purple blooms. Nice addition.
Simply the Perfect Shade of Purple
I've had Lyon's Plum Pudding (LPP) for 10 years (or more), and it's an easy grower and heavy bloomer. By easy growing, I mean that it blooms regularly in natural sunlight with, as the Violet Barn recommends, an "even" AV fertilizer and repotting every six months. And LPP buds are sturdy, too. I've done 6-month repottings with buds, and they don't shrivel away. Rather, the buds bloom to the most perfect, vibrant shade of purple--absolutely stunning. The color is what I've always thought a purple AV should be. Buy this plant!

Gorgeous blooms with much more depth in detail and color than can be seen in the pictures. Highly recommend.
Spot On!
This baby will be one of your favorites!! Huge flowers standing up in a cluster like a bride's-maid's bouquet! Blooms look just like the photos, but are prettier in person..or in "plant!" I can keep mine in 2.5 inch pots & they bloom just fine. Follow the rule of leaving at least 2 leaves on the main stem below the flower-holding stem. I'm tellin' ya, Plummy is yummy!

This has always been my favorite purple bloom. It is a gorgeous color, the blooms are full and absolutely huge, and have lovely shading on the tips. I've ordered this variety from other growers to share with others or to have a spare plant, but was not as happy with the color of the blooms or the hardiness of the plants. You definitely will not be disappointed with this one! Very easy plant to grow, even for novices, blooms often and easily.
