Excellent bloomer and easy grower
Bright orange bloomer with leopard red print on yellow-cream throat, Ingrid never disappoints. The color combination is striking, complemented with vivid green foliage - she is a true beauty!
My first but not my last!
About 3 weeks ago, i ordered my first order of plants from the Violet Barn. I picked this Kohleria for two reasons. 1 - the write up about them said easy to grow. 2 - my mom's name was Ingrid. After calling for an appointment I took the short drive from Rochester to Naples to pick up my plants. When Rob brought them out to me I was excited but i said i would wait till I got home to look at them. Even though two of the violets I bought were already blooming, this plant caught my attention. There were no blooms yet, but the foliage with a blush of orange/yellow in the leaves was beautiful. it did very well from the start and although small it was an impressive plant and and took a spot on my favorites shelf. In the morning, a week and a half after receiving my plants, my mom passed away. Later that day, I was doing looking at my plants and noticed this Little Kohleria had opened its first flower. What a beautiful bloom on the plant! I told my sisters, and they told me it was a sign from Mom. Thank you mom for the sign. Thank you Violet Barn for the recommendation. I am buying two more for my sisters tomorrow!
Lovely plant!
This is an adorable little kohleria! As the website says, they arrive as smaller plants, but even without blooms the foliage of this kohleria is gorgeous. Also, the leaves are extremely velvety, even more so than my African violets'! I look forward to seeing this one grow and what kind of blooms it produces.

I ordered 17 plants, they shipped Aug 3 & arrived Aug 10th. I received the plants directly off the USPS van. All plants were watered upon arrival. Reviewed Aug 14th. Fantastic packaging as expected. Nice, uniform soft leafed plant arrived in good condition and appears to adjusting well to its new home.

Plant was shipped wonderfully, in bud, and has been blooming non-stop ever since.
