Took a minute

This Violet grew really fast for me. I am currently growing this variety in my window with natural lighting. I had it under lights but moved it and wow it took off. It really likes the natural light. The blooms are simply gorgeous
Large blooms!

Blooms are indeed large. One almost covered my palm. It’s peachy pink and the foliage is very dark. It’s a great plant!
My Bored Sun gets bored

I do love this violet, but it's been my Problem Violet for a while. Despite being in the same conditions as all my others, she's been growing slowly and blooming rarely. I moved her under my grow lights for a while and she started to thrive again. So I've moved her back with the others. She's now full of bloom stalks and I'm giving this "loves natural light" claim another chance, as I do prefer to grow my plants in natural light. When she does bloom, it's beautiful, and contrasts well with the dark green foliage mine has. I don't mind a challenge, I'm just surprised so many other reviewers have an easy time with this one. She's one of my favorites when she's happy. I'm not sure where I'm doing her an injustice, but I'll figure it out eventually!
Spectacular Bloom

Bored Sun loves natural light. The bloom opens with a very pink color, and as it grows older becomes a lovely peach color with a darker peach center.
Bored Sun Isn’t Boring

I ordered this a few months ago, and it bloomed right away. The flower is large, peachy-pink with a dark center. It’s budding up again. Looks like it will be a reliable bloomer. Love it.
Lovely Contrast

The contrast between the huge, salmon pink blossoms and the dark green leaves is unusual and quite lovely. The leaves are described above as "medium", but those on mine are dark and a bit shiny. I live in south Texas and grow my plants mostly under lights; air conditioning notwithstanding, daytime room temps during the summer can climb into the low 80's. This violet tolerates these temps nicely; although I have noticed that the darker center is much more noticeable during the winter months. With or without the darker center, this is a beautiful and showy violet.
My favorite

I love my bored sun. Easy to grow a good strong plant, almost always blooming and the color is wonderful, a true coral/salmon not blue-pink. The blooms are very large it is quite a show stopper.
WOW!

Huge, lovely pink/peach blooms with a darker salmon center. Not mentioned in the description is a very thin edge of salmon that makes them so special. One of my new favorites!
Unusual Bloom

This violet has an unusual bloom. It is quite flat, like a disc (or a sun!), and very large. The darker shading in the center begins to appear when the flower has been open several days. Bored Sun has been a great bloomer for me.
Bored Sun

My starter plant already has very large, striking flowers that display themselves well. Unusual color and markings. I definitely recommend it.
