So happy

I got this plant in June and I was going to wait for blooms to review it, but I'm so happy with it that I can't wait. It arrived so healthy and it is simply thriving, despite the fact that it's one of my first gesneriads. Today I observed the first buds beginning to emerge, and I can't wait to see the color!

Beautiful flowers...

I was SO happy when this bloomed for me recently. The color was so great, loving all my plants from The Violet Barn! Thanks for such great plants. :-)

Elegant deep red velvet, almost shimmers!

My new favorite, looks like silky, soft plush velvet! Much prettier than the pictures.

Strikingly beautiful

Red Rooster is one of my favorite streps. It has been in non stop blooming mode since I got it last year. What a beauty!!

Hardy, vigorous and showy

I recently struggled with a mite infestation, and while all my other streps were dying, this one seemed to thrive in spite of it, all the while putting out gobs of lovely red blooms. Would definitely recommend.

Hardy and beautiful!

After trying unsuccessfully with several varieties of streps, this longsuffering plant survived all my over/underwatering drama for several months before I finally figured it out how to care for it. It bounced back and has been putting out shoot after shoot of deep red blooms for well over a month now! The blooms are a lovely velvet color and a few of them come out double.

Profuse sueded deep-red blooms

Even though my plant is young, with only three leaves, the dozen blossoms form a canopy. When 'Red Rooster' matures, it will be a wonder, beautiful among all of my blue streptocarpus plants. Robinsons, Rob, Bristol, whoever you are--thank you for the pleasure your cultivar has already given me.

Outstanding plant!

This plant is one of the best. The leaves are well shaped and well behaved and the blossoms... if you've wondered which red streptocarpus to get, GET THIS ONE! I'm ordering my second one today as my first was the victim of a hot room and lack of water but I won't allow that to happen again. This plant is definitely a keeper!

This was my first Streptocarpus!

'She' is a beauty with dark red velvet double flowers! Always in bloom, tall stems with 15 or more blossoms at a time. I have never been so impressed with an indoor plant before. I ordered and received it in the winter. I live in a cold climate and was very impressed with the packaging! Everything was received in perfect condition. I gave my daughter her first Strep (Wow) for Mother's Day. She was thrilled when it first bloomed the day she moved into her new house. It's a beauty, I'm ordering one for myself today. Thank you for these beauties.

Bristol's Red Rooster

One of the best red Strep. I've grown. Great bloomer

Cock a doodle doo!

Would not be surprised to hear it one morning coming from this "up and at 'um" plant! Vigorous, easy grower with gorgeous velvet deep red blossoms. Blooms virtually continuously in my shaded west window. A joy to grow!

Bristol's Red Rooster is a stunner!

I purchased this hybrid last year. It arrived as a well packed plant with buds. It has since grown into a lovely plant, that is most always in flower with eye-catching deep red burgundy double flowers. They contrast very well against the bright crisp green foliage. It has become one of my favorites!!
